What a great album, I never get tired of it. OM is just great start to finish. Sister Mary gives me goosebumps every time. Weird they never came close to the greatness before or after.

I saw the current lineup of Queensryche a few days ago ( 5-30-15 ) and while I did enjoy it, it was too damn short. The set list was also too predictable. They really need to do 'An Evening With Queensryche' with two sets and a twenty minute intermission. A 65 minute set of 13 songs for a "headliner" is inexcusable ( ...)!! Frankly, they should know better. But I digress.

Who's in the current lineup? Tate left the band iirc?

Eddie Jackson - original
Scott Rockenfield - original
Michael Wilton - original
Parker Lundgren
Todd La Torre - dude sounds so much like Tate it's eerie!

He definitely does sound like him at least. As far as songwriting goes he's not up to Tate's level imo, at least not on their s/t. It's weird to me tbh, because I think Tate pretty much is Queensryche. The guitars can be neat but really they're interchangeable. Tate's one of a kind.

Rockenfield was always an awesome drummer imo

And Jackson and him make a great rhythm section. I actually thought Chris DeGarmo was the bigger part of the classic era of the band. I really liked the last album - no mistaking it was Queensryche. It's only real problem was the songs were too succinct and the album too short on a whole. Songwriting deficiencies.

I can understand where you're coming from 'Frownland'. However, I found it absolutely DISGRACEFUL ( ) that Geoff put together his own version of "Queensryche" as a result of the court proceedings. THANKFULLY, that came to an end in Sept. 2014. Overall, I'm just happy there is only one VERSION of Queensryche now. I think the three founding members ( Jackson, Rockenfield, and Wilton ) carried themselves a lot better during the split and overall respected the Queensryche name more than Geoff did, unfortunately. Particularly since 2010. Sadly, the split was inevitable.

Be that as it may, let's be perfectly clear. Even though I think the current lineup with singer Todd La Torre and guitarist Parker Lundgren is a VERY solid incarnation, one thing IS certain: it is not now, nor will it EVER be, the "real" Queensryche. In short order, that title is RESERVED for the original lineup of DeGarmo, Jackson, Rockenfield, Tate, and Wilton. Queensryche are the PERFECT example of the whole being greater than the sum. Thanks for responding ( ).

The whole is the sum.
