Early Anti-Flag is really sweet....The more recent album is pretty good but the earlier stuff is growing on me.

Yeah, their old stuff was punk, but the last few albums aren't punk. Mohawks and left-wing lyrics don't make up for how poppy they truly are.

This doesn't sound very punk to me.
YouTube - Anti-Flag - This is the end (for you my friend) YouTube - Anti-Flag - One Trillion Dollars YouTube - For Blood And Empire - Hymn For The Dead Sounds more like Good Charlotte with political lyrics. It's pop-punk at best. They're not as punk as everyone makes them out to be. |

I agree those songs lean more on the pop punk side. But Press Corps, Depeleted Uranium, Cities Burn are very punk....Well, not very punk but better in the sense of the new album type of punk.
