green day because they were cool once, and i've liked them as long as i can remember. MCR just rapes my eardrums, not because i hate the band or how big they've become, i just hate their sound. and really, cheer the **** up.

old green day isn't bad, i just grew out of them. i don't really know any mcr cause there pop-emo and i havent watched mtv in about two years. my sister told me there doing a movie about cutting your wrists with britney spears. im gonna buy the boot leg when it comes out.

Like both of them,but have only just got the MCR cd and have to be loyal to my fav band ever-GreenDay.
Time of your life is one of my all time fav songs,BillyJoe is hot still and he not young ne more either.
There music has a purpose behind it, eg-Wake me up when September ends bout BillyJoes father.

PS-I also disagree bout MCR being emo and whiny and ask how that statement came about?

Somewhere down the line, someone used their inniative and thought "hey, they look emo, they must whine" and the word spread so they had a reason to hate a band that was so popular.

same here. when i was younger (around 11 and 12) green day was probably one of my favorite bands. that was before i started playing guitar and involving myself in music more. this may sound like a generalization...but i think everyone listens to stuff like that when they are in the 5th/6th grade.

personally, i dont like or dislike either one. old green day is still tolerable, but their newest releases have sucked. theyve taken on too much of a political standpoint to their music, when "dookie" for example, was filled with songs about getting stoned or wasted, or stuff like that. the attitude they have now is quite annoying.

my chemical romance....well, first off i cant stand their singers voice. it kills me to know that i was ever able to. the thing that bugs me about them is that they seem to think that they are a lot cooler and more talented and influential than they actually are. (dont give me a lecture about "influential"...you know what i mean) i think they bought in on the whole "squeaky voices and trendy hair make you popular" deal. because truly, if you took away all their fans, all the trendy scene kids, and if you took away all the makeup and "out there" clothing, they would just be another crappy band. i think they bought in on the popularity of the used. its quite pathetic. thats just my opinion. flame away.....

Is that really necessary? I mean, all you have done is state what everyone else said, why would anyone flame you for that. It isn't like you have some out there opinion that no one else will be able to accept.
Just stick with your opinion, and quit saying "flame away"
