I don't know about the rest, but these don't sound "plagiarized". "Rowche Rumble" has a riff slightly like the one in shake appeal, but its much more chaotic. "Touch Sensitive" and "Waiting For the Man" have really basic chord progressions that 100's maybe 1000s of rock songs use. Rock n Roll is a massive incestual orgy of plagiarisms and rip-offs.

That may be true but Smith is the king of re-appropriation. Stealing riffs and basslines here and there and making them his own is part of his style

I finally have a complete collection of Radio Sessions NOT recorded for John Peel.
I'll up them if there's any interest

I'd say Perverted By Language and/or Hex Induction Hour are pretty safe bets - they're both kind of in the same vein as those two you mentioned. Slates is well worth checking out too

I've listened to 2 tracks off Witch Trials, and while I merely thought they were ok, based on posts about The Fall in this thread I'm guessing they'll grow on me (whenever I get the whole album).

Saw them for the first time at the Hackney Empire on Halloween. Amazing.

Support acts were:
Bobbie Peru who were very good, I think they just need a singer though.
John Cooper Clarke who was amusing. Interestingly, he lives only a few miles away from me.
Safi who was rubbish. I think it was interesting to begin with, had a manipulated Sinead O'Connor video with some extra electronic bits, but then it just got horribly mind numbing.

And needless to say, The Fall was fantastic.

Also, I was sitting beside these dancing girls. You'd think they were Girls Aloud fans rather than Fall fans. I take it their boyfriends dragged them along and they just wanted to have fun. One of them kept spilling beer on me :|

Also, had some awesome dance music at the start. Wish I knew what it was

Anyway, yeah. The Fall are the best post-punk band, if you ask me. I only have about six of their albums, though :/

I just recently downloaded and listened to "Dragnet". What should I go for next?
