I wouldn't put Nerf Herder in the category of "punk." However, Vivian is always stuck in my head, along with Cashmere Sweater and Pantera Fans in Love. They remind me less of the Clash and more of Feable Weiner.

Well, Vivian, Cashmere Sweater, and Pantera Fans in Love are some good ones.
That, and they sound a hell of a lot like Feable Weiner. You really can't place Nerf Herder in a category. I heart those guys.
