Alkaline Trio don't write boring generic music in hopes MTV will play it.

So if a band is on MTV then sucks, else it rule ?
That's stupid.
I don't like MTV, but I like the bands because of their MUSIC, not beacuse they appear or dont appear on MTV.

In hopes MTV will play it = making poppy comercial music for the masses. Seriously, if you're going to try and pick a fight with me at least tear me down for something I said.

Alkaline Trio is completelty different then FFTL and MCR. My Chemical Romance plays pop-rock, dress like goths and paint their faces and make songs like "Im Not Okay" in hopes of earning some cash. I really hope you dont need me to tell you whats wrong with From First To Last, otherwise you're a bigger idiot then I thought.

Thank goodness I don't watch MTV so I don't get told what's cool and what's not... hopefully by the age of 20 I have started to craft my own musical taste... that is why MCR hasn't been ruined for me - even though, from what I hear, it is "bad" to like them, but I'm not a screaming emo girl with eyeliner obsessed with how cute gerard is... so I don't fall into the mold, I don't know why people have to judge? Can't people just like what they like?

That being said!

Alkaline Trio is probably my favorite band. "Goddamnit" I have listened to all the way through moreso than any other album- and perhaps any two albums combined... when I was a teenager, and I first got ahold of Alk3, I listened to it nonstop. Crimson was very very very very produced... which takes away from the raw emotion that alk3 had in previous albums... it's still good though, but my least favorite of all their albums.

My fav songs?
Trouble Breathing
Little Needle
Take Lots with Alcohol
Crawl
I'm Dying Tomorrow
Radio (of course, it's the song that got me in the first place!)

I don't have to much by them, just Crimson and Good Mourning. I've been looking to get some older stuff by them because I hear thier older material is better. From what I have by them I think they are a really good band.

This band confuddles me. They're not bad, I know that, and I do listen to them from time to time. They just tire me, after a few listens, I get bored and have to change. I have Maybe I'll Catch Fire and Goddammit!, but, I tend to not listen to them. Mayyybe I should get Crimson.. I do love Time To Waste, and reccomendations on here seem fairly strong..

my boyfriend was playing the ATV offroad fury4 game on PS2 when i heard the unmistakable alkaline trio! turns out they wrote a new song for the game thats sick. i'm a HUGE alkaline trio song ever since maybe i'll catch fire and i was so pumped to hear this track. ive never been into video games but i spent this whole week racing trophy tucks to hear the rest of the soundtrack. i finally found some clips of the songs on the game's website... they got bands like senses fail and rock kills kid too. does anyone know anything about playstation soundtracks?? do they get released? i need this track!
