Default Joy Division

No thread yet? I don't think they need much of an introduction. I like Closer best, Heart and Soul is my favorite song. Discuss and listen if you haven't.

there's something about love will tear us apart, I love it. My brother was always into british music and i remember teasing him, singing "Love, love will tear at my arse, again" and "Constipation" or Masturbation" for Depeche Modes - Condemnation and so on. Now I like it, and he still laughs at me.

In my opininon Closer was the best thing they did. If memory serves theres a song on there called "24 Hours" in which you can practically touch the tension with your fingers.

24 Hours is hands down my favorite of theirs. I still maintain my averse nature towards Love Will Tear Us Apart.

Love Will Tear Us Apart is the song he wrote to his estranged wife, about the effects of an affair he had.

Those words are on his gravestone.

It's far from...meh.

There's about 20 Joy Division songs I'd rather listen to than that one. Musically it's pretty boring, regardless of whether or not it's on Ian Curtis's grave.
