Really someone give me a reason why they suck other than the music I mean the Ramones weren't terribly creative in that area either.

Besides the fact that the Ramones were the first punk band (agree otherwise? stfu)...

Well, punk has always been around, I think, but in terms of bands, I think punk's roots lie in stuff like the who and the doors, since that's who the Ramones were emulating. Just playing faster.
