Default The Screamers

I feel there needs to be a thread on this influential band. By far one of my favourite punk bands, fused synth with the punk aesthetic to create a sound somewhere in between the Stooges and NEU!, quite excellent stuff.

Unfortunately they never officially released any material, so you'll have to go by this myspace. Le Shok also covered 122 Hours of Fear on their LA To NY EP

I heard them once ondemand, there was a live video of them playing "Vertigo", and it was sweet.

Fuck, I love the Screamers. Heres a link to download the 77-78 demo, I'd say check it out if you know what's good for you.

Evidently not. Don't see why though, they are abundantly better than many other bands floating round at the time.

That link is dead. Shame as I would have liked to give it a good listen.

The Screamers kicked a$$! I wish they had recorded a full-length album though... I'm assuming you already have it, Stu, but there's a dvd of one of their concerts in San Francisco that, well, any punk fan should check out.
