I like it, especially how it all builds up to the last two songs and then lets it all out. Great album, but I don't think it is good enough to make my top ten.

to be brutally honest... Punch Drunk is the first song I ever heard and it's still my favourite. I only ever click with records like Zen Arcade and Vs.(the hardcore epics) once in a blue moon, no idea why

OK who wants some Husker Du demos.

There are 2 loads of demos here. The first is a bunch of studio demos recorded between 1979 & 1980. The second is their Northern Lights demo , also from 1980.
There are quite a few unreleased songs here and also some studio versions of songs that ended up on Land Speed Record.

I don't think the brilliance of an album like Zen Arcade can be realised after a couple of listens. It is a real grower and it just keeps on growing. It is in my top ten thats for sure. Def the best Husker Du album in my books, 2nd I would probably say New Day Rising.
