Default ****ed Up (Official Thread)

Don't hurt me, I'm not making this is up, there is actually a band called ****ed Up. I am digging them right now and wondering if there's anyone else who is as well.

For anyone who hasn't heard of them yet check out their Myspace

And just a side note, they're releasing a pro bono compilation soon with Vampire Weekend, TV on the Radio and others to benefit the 500+ aboriginal women who were murdered/are missing in Canada. Here's a fascinating interview with Pink Eye of ****ed Up talking about their involvement, he seems like a really great guy...

Fucked Up aren't that unknown. They've gotten pretty big in the last few years. I've only really listened to The Chemistry Of Common Life which is a solid album and Born Twice is an amazing song too.

By the way, the interview link doesn't work.

Thanks for pointing it out, I just realized that I won't be able to link to it because Music Banter automatically converts the "****ed Up" in the URL to ***ed Up and so it doesn't recognize the link. I'm really proud of them for being involved in meaningful causes.

Ah, makes sense. I just watched the interview and he seems like a cool guy. I'll have to keep an eye out for that compilation, it definitely sounds interesting and for a good cause.

Yeah, I agree. I haven't seen that many interviews with him but whenever I do he always come across as extremely humble and concerned with what's going on around him. I'm really curious to see if they ended up getting Feist to record for the compilation, there was a rumor that she would be in on it.

I picked up 'Chemistry' about a year ago on MP3 and really liked it. It's turned up at my local indie record store in the £3 bargain section which is a little strange and I keep meaning to pick a copy up but keep getting distracted.
