erm...the pistols weren't manufactured and johnny didn't get his 'fashion style' for malcom maclarn and vivan westwoods shop, sex. do you even know what was mainly sold in there?
It's true that rotten got into the band because maclarn held an audition for a new singer (matlock, jones and cook were already in a band before johnny and malcom came into the picture).
If the sex pistols were purely manufactured then why did they get the sack from emi and the other record company?

Did you know McLaren suggested that John change his name to Johnny Rotten after he got into the band to throw in a rebellious factor?! Did you know that Malcolm's last name is McLaren, not MacLarn?! And the answer to your question is: The Sex Pistols got the sack from EMI because after being banned basically from all the gigs they could ever play in England, the record company was losing more money than they were gaining, and therefore had to drop the band. The Sex Pistols were then picked up by Virgin Records, after every record company in England turned them down. They didn't even like Richard Branson, but he wanted to take a risk on them. The Sex Pistols were never thrown off the Virgin Label until they broke up. So yes, they were purely manufactured in the beginning and remained the same for two years until their demise. Watch your typing hand before you go on about stuff you have no idea about partisan. I don't see why you're trying to contradict Misfits and I when obviously you are the one who needs to be contradicted.
