How can they qualify as something that hadn't started when they were in their prime? Again quit trying to agree with everyone and state your own damn opinion. Jesus Christ you are worse then most hypocritical church goers...

Early Less Than Jake is most definetely ska. Pezcore, anyone?

As for The Misfits, I think they're a hardcore punk band as well, they may have dealt with zombies or devils in every other song but that didn't really define their sound. They may have had some "classic punk" songs, but most of their songs have a more metal feel to them, which to me characterized hardcore.

The misfits didn't get started till around the 80s..
They had no guitar and keyboard in the 70s.

50 cent isnt bluegrass metal no matter who is listening to it. Genre isn't opinion. I'll agree there are some grey spots, but don't think you have ultimate control over what genre your favorite bands are.
