****ing hell, what a pointless argument this is. Ok, let's take Black Flags most well known album, Damaged. This album has much more in common with 80s hardcore music than it does with straight-up punk music. Beforehand, yeah they were pretty much just a punk band. Afterwards, well that's harder to categorize since they threw some metal and even jazz-style improv into the eqution. But here's the deal:
DAMAGED IS A HARDCORE ALBUM. ONCE, BLACK FLAG PLAYED HARDCORE MUSIC. THE PEOPLE WHO SAY BLACK FLAG NEVER PLAYED HARDCORE MUSIC ARE WRONG. So what do y'all think of the instrumental Black Flag stuff? |
