i gotta support the westcoast gangsta rap they really did something different they didnt care about what people thought about them i mean they rapped about life in the city of compton....my neighboring town is compton. PE was more of a movement group while NWA was more of a **** all this **** and lets rap about what is really going on in our heads. i mean who else can make a make a rap group and get banned off mtv and most radio stations?? they just didnt give a damn even though eazy was messed up to the rest of the crew at the end of their career.

I gotta go with PE, simply because they represented an intelligent yet millitant side to Hip Hop largely ignored by the mainstream until they came out. But on the real regardless of whether u feel N.W.A were a novelty(or not) whatever the case may be, u can't deny the were unique and raw, and basically the blueprint for the grimey **** that sells. Dre is a mother****ing genius.

NWA losses points with me for ruining modern day rap. Anyone whos main influence was PE knows you need content.
