Default Talib Kweli

Anybody heard this guy? To quote AMG, "If skills sold, Talib Kweli would have been one of the most commercially successful rappers of his time." He, in collaboration Mos Def, released an album called "Black Star", and it's often hailed as a classic hip-hop album. Check it out if you haven't already.

He's playing at my college in May, so I should probably check out his stuff. It's pretty damn good from what I hear.

i told you...wait till you get to the last track...it's a cover version of Nina simone's for women..it's amazing....it's a shame that Talib and hi-tek don't collabarate anymore really..and talib's solo albums are nowhere near as good as the reflection or the blackstar albums...although the first solo had that track "get by" which was really good...i have some really old stuff with those guys though too...a couple singles...the old soundbombing rawkus cd's......big fan....in fact I'd say he is one of the few paople doing decent stuff after that early 90's hip hop explosion wore off.

Mos def and Talib Kweli are
Blackstar
