How is Eminem creative? He's not one of the most talented ever. He's a mediocre lyricist who stakes his reputation on being controversial. He does have an incredible flow though.

I dont find him horrible i just find him boring. He seems like hes constantly promoting the fact that he had a hard life too, to make up for the fact that hes a small white, blond hair dude. His work with d12 was the low point, besides that its okay.

But honestly, if he was a black man he wouldnt have half the audience he does. I dont know how many times i've heard "I dont really like rap, except for eminem cuz hes the only good one"

I don't know if its a racial issue so much as it's a lyrical one. Eminem's lyrics appeal to whiny suburban dwelling teenagers who "hate their life." You don't hear 50 Cent whining about his parents constantly do you?

Its both. Those kids you mentioned are white, they need a somebody they think they can relate to. Other rappers wrote about real life issues, eminem hates his mom. A kid who has never had any realproblems have to start making up some, here comes eminem to help.

But then again i dont want to make fun of eminem for doing this. I'd rather have him exaggerate whatever minuscule drama he had to go through as oppose to talking about street life =/

He has clarified in interviews that his usage of the word '***got' is hoodlum slang for 'derogatory remark', it's a general derogatory statement, and in no way refers towards a sexuality bias.
Also, he performed with Elton John at the Grammy's. I mean, what do you want him to do, make a homosexual sex tape, before you let him off the hook?
