People use 'not very good' in a sarcastic way, but they're like rectangles and squares in the sense that not all rectangles are squares, but all squares are rectangles. Bad analogy I know.

lol...they're both a parallelogram with four right angles they're not the same thing. That makes no sense anyway and isn't even remotely applicable to this. Pretty good and not very good are not the same things, they're contradictions.
