Eminem scared people. ICP scared people. Esham scared people. Danny Brown said in an interview that he used to be too scared to put Esham's music on in the 90s.

I've personally never heard any music that actually scared me before.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Same. I can think of music that's kind of creepy or eerie or whatever but nothing that's actually scary.

The thing that makes me not care about a lot of horrorcore is that there's no particularly compelling horrorcore aesthetic. It's a bit "darker" than other hip hop, but really it's just hip hop with corny lyrics that doesn't differentiate itself to any significant extent.

How about peaking on acid at a Butthole Surfers concert in 1987?

Meh. Honestly, I've never really been able to get into them. I find them surprisingly guitar wanky for a band that's supposed to be weird.

Basically. ICP have explicitly said as much. But it's basically just hip hop with extra violent lyrics. Some of it's not half bad tbh.
