i would have to say bob dylan. He made such a huge impact on music in the 60's. His songwriting capabilities never cease to blow my mind

I never really liked the Beatles, The Kinks and Rolling Stones were always my prefferred bands to The Beatles. But i also liked the Byrds and Cream. All great bands. I also love Bob Dylan. he's not a band but he's amazing. The Small faces wern't bad either.Not ot mention the monkees and the animals..

well my fav band that started in the 60s would be pink floyd but i dont like their syd barret stuff as much so i suppose that doesnt count.
With pink floyd excluded it would prolly be led zeppelin altho i like the who aswel
