I know this is not much, but can you help me find.. (lyrics, metal)

I was in Vegas this weekend and was having a conversation with a friend in the car. On the radio the dj was saying that whenever she played this new song everyone called and asked who it was. She said the name and my friend was talking and i did not hear it. Anyway, it was awesome, had a great modernized version of a late 80's / early 90's metal guitar solo that was pretty long. It was a male vocalist and the song was reasonably fast. I can't remember any of the lyrics. I know this is not much but can anyone help me with this song or who the artist is?
