Anybody ever listen to Milburn? They are also from Sheffield.
The lead singer taught Alex Turner to play guitar and helped him with his song writing technique.
Also, the bass player on The Arctic Monkeys' second album left Milburn to join the Arctic Monkeys. They wrote a song in response called ''What will You do When The Money Goes?''.
If you like the Arctic Monkeys you should listen to that track and ''Send in the Boys'', the comparison's are instantly obvoius, but they are both great tracks too.

Anybody heard the Rascals? They sound like a ripp off band of the Arctic Monkeys, I think the lead singer is Last of the Shadow Puppets with Alex Turner, another overrated NME band.

The Rascals? why does that sound familiar? Have they been around for a long time? Attack in Black is a pretty good band... I think if you like Arctic Monkeys you'll probably really enjoy them.

New album due out in August, looks like they're picking up right where FWN left off...

Oh man I still love their debut. So quintessentially English.

^^ I actually did a cover of that for my guitar class. I also remeber showing my guitar teacher the music video for I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor and him saying saying "oh wow these guys are good, what kinda music are they?" And me saying "indie" and him responding "Really that dont look Indian". But The View From the Afternoon has since grown to be my favorite song off their first album I just love the frantic chords changes at the start.
