Actualy, there are just as many people who consider GnR and Zeppelin metal as there are people who dont consider them metal, which is why i brought it up.

there are many people who agree that zeppelin is a metal band. Even Jimmy Page himself, in an interview when asked if he considered led zeppelin a metal band, he replied that they had all the elements of a metal band, and that although they may not be purely metal, it best describes the genre that they basically started, and has now basically gone to ****

I don't want to sound b*tchy, or like I'm starting an argument but what gives you the right to condemn a whole thread?

I think metal should have it's own forum as there are so many sub-genres of metal, as with sub-genres of rock, in my mind it makes sense. But then again half the time this forum is so dead.
