American Metal vs European Metal (metallica, Queen, bands)

So which is better, in y opinion european metal has always been better and still is.

I agree. More technical, original, and interesting.

although bands like Byzantine and With Passion are giving them a run for their money.

Eoropean Metal seems more original than American Metal IMO.

Couldn't decide.

On one hand you've got european metal...

Maiden, Children of Bodom, Sabbath, In Flames, Arch Enemy.. And the list goes on and on and on...

But then there's American Metal...

Pantera, Machine Head, Slayer, Superjoint Ritual, Metallica, Megadeth etc.

American Metal has Megadeth, so because of my extream bias against Dave Mustaine and all his associates, i will go with European Metal, even though Children of Bodom and many modern european metal bands suck some serious ass, Maiden and Sabbath alone are worth my vote, most american metal bands that are selling records nowadays are **** too...Fates Warning, Symphony X, Queensryche, now those are american metal bands that are actualy worth the hype...and Opeth and Nightwish are good european metal acts.

You're entitled to your opinion that CoB suck but you cannot deny that they are a very talented band.

i'd have to go for european metal, to me it just has more variation and melody and seems to give you all that you want to find in metal. but you cant deny that american is also awesome, bands like pantera, slayer and metallica kinda speak for themselves.
