Neil Peart and Danny Carey can be show offs live, but in studio they're just doing their job, they just happen to do it really damn well. Seriously it's not like every f*cking Rush song has a 10 minute drum solo.
If anyone you should target people who show off but don't actually have the skill to back it up.
This applies to god knows how many metal drummers, enter Tommy Lee, Lars Ulrich, Peter Criss.
To me a pure simpleton like Meg White isn't a bad drummer, she plays incredibly simple stuff but it suits the music perfectly, thats the important thing. A bad drummer is someone who can't keep a beat, and worse someone who tries to dominate a piece when they don't even know what they're doing.
