My favorite drummer is not listed in the poll, but GAVIN HARRISON has to be MY favorite drummer of all time. He is the most versatile drummer I have ever encountered (equally fluid at Jazz and Progressive Rock), not to mention, in addition to his place in Porcupine Tree, he is also a new drummer with King Crimson. That alone, carries some weight.

from those 5, neil hands down
but i alos like joey from slipknot
and questlove from the roots
but theres a bunch of different qualaties that make someone the best drummer.

My favorites would be Keith Moon, Bill Ward, John Bonham, and Nicko McBrain. Out of that list, my favorite would probably be John Bonham. Hard choice between him and Keith Moon, though.

Danny Carey (tool) hands down. Portnoy and Pert are machines and that kind of takes away from the enjoyment if that makes any sense. Carey has this ability to make his drums an extension of his person. Its almost as if the drums have become personified.
