I find that Dir En Grey and Malice Mizer get some of the largest acclaim for a foreign band. They have quite large fan bases.

and considering Dir En Grey is awful...I think, that hmm, Joshua Fit For Battle, they got no mention hatsoever usually, and heroin kind of fails compared to orchid even though they're just as good.
