Some of my favourite rock ever. The band was good all round, and Layne Staley was an amazing vocalist. He simply can't be replaced.

They were a great band. Id say "Them Bones" or "Would" is probably my favorite tune of theirs. Staley had a good voice, but he didnt have a whole lot of range, but it wasnt really needed for their type of music anyhow so its not even an issue. They had some awesome guitar riffs as well

Them Bones, Man in the Box and We Die Young were all pretty badass. I've got live versions of Maynard from Tool doing Them Bones and Man in the Box, they're pretty cool too.

There are some others I like but I can't remember right now, I like early Soundgarden better but these guys were definitely some of the better grunge, everything was so much more sleazier and gritty, I guess is what you would call it, than Nirvana and other artists at the time.

i think you should check out Jar of Flies and if you are still bored, try Mad Season and then if your still bored i feel really bad for you that you cant get into either of these bands cause theyre ****ing great

If he didn't like all the other AIC albums I don't think he'll like Mad Season, there way softer sound nothing like AIC.

AIC were a great band, mad season too. I don't think Layne could be replaced at all but that wouldn't stop me going to see them.

Dude, that's a matter of opinion. I happen to feel that there are better bands out there.

Thanks for the recommendations anyway, but I'll pass them. Even though I liked 'Dirt', I still give it only 3/5 rating, so I guess I'll never really get into them. Grunge isn't my thing.

That depends on what type of Grunge your talking about If you want a more heavy grunge check out Tad, Green River and U-Men. If you want alittle softer check out Crackerbash, Mother Love Bone and Beat Happening. If your looking for modern Grunge check out Chixdiggit, April Sixth, and Foo Fighters (may not be Grunge but in my book they are)

I love when people don't understand how to work a search engine.

By the way....

Jar of Flies is probably the best alice in chains album.
