It was the Nile/Hypocrisy/Soilent Green/Decapitated/Raging Speedhorn concert on February 4th at the Palladium in Wocester MA. They were the opening band.

For Opeth, I'd recommend getting Porcupine Tree and Camel (if you liked Damnation). Otherwise, I can probably recommend some all round general/melodic/prog death metal:

Arch Enemy (one of my fav melodeath bands)
Amon Amarth (Lopez was in this band)
Quo Vadis
Scar Symmetry
Necrophagist
Nile (brutal...)
Atheist (jazzy death metal)
Cynic (ditto)
Extol
Death
Akerc0cke (A newer band, rather strange actually)
Into Eternity
Katatonia (Opethians often like this)
Bloodbath (Ditto from above, Akerfeldt was in this band)
At the Gates
Soilwork
Carcass
Candlemass
