Emo became a fashion trend, it wasn't when it was first conceived.

Thats what seperates emo from hair metal.

All scenes become fashion trends. If havent heard me say it before, Scenes kill music. Scenes are the poppy watered down version. Anyone in the emo forum will tell you people who make emo fashion based more than likely listen to fake emo.
