The Crusade by Trivium (metal, albums, metallica, band, hands)

What does everyone think of the new Trivium record?

I thought it was really diffirent, totally the opposite of what i expected but still an ace album. Ascendancy beats it hands down though IMO.

Met a guy in the weekend on one of my drunken journey's to town
Wearing a Metallica t-shirt, Metallica tattoo's, you know the type of guy
Wouldn't shut up about this band and how 'incredible' they are and he kept insisting that I get a hold of some of their stuff. I don't like Metallica but is it worth me acquiring one of their albums and if I do, which one?

None? Metallica is ok in tiny doses. Get a greatest hits album.

i liked ember to inferno and acendency..but this just sounds too close to old metallica...so imo the crusade was like 2 steps backward for trivium. they had a good thing going until this recent album.

ember to inferno is prob triviums best album i'd say, acendency is a good album also but inferno just shows that older trivium stuff is better, this new album the crusade doesnt seem to have any growth or maturity in triviums work it just seems that they've based it on older metal bands albums and compared to their older stuff just seems abit naff.
