Sunn O))) & Boris (cd, genre, albums, Atmosphere, cover)

This may not interest many people here but i love it so much i thought id make a thread anyway.

two of doom-drone music's leading bands, Sunn O))) and Boris, have teamed to up to record an album TOGETHER. yup... this is not a split, its a full-on collaboration, and it is IMO both band's best work to date.

I managed to get hold of the limited bonus version which includes and extra CD of a 23min epic collaboration of both bands, plus Doom-giants Earth. Not only is this one of the best albums of the year, i think it will become a defining album of the genre.

This album has amazingly heavy walls of sound.

I don't know what else to say about it except it's some huge drone.

That's because you don't listen to good music.

The concept behind what they do is extraordinary. Sunn O))) defines bleak, dark, depressing, painful music. And it's all so beautiful

Ethan sent me some Sun O))) a while ago, and I really don't understand the appeal. In my opinion, it seems quite pretentious?
