Anyone heard the new Green Day song American Idiot? It's alot like the old stuff, really good. But Green Day is one of those bands that always please you. The older albums were better than the later ones...but they've never turned me away. The ultimate get happy band. You can hear the song on YahooLAUNCH. It's awesome.

Yeah its absolutely amazing isnt it. Brilliant lyrics. Its gonna be massive, and gets an important message across. I just wondered though, what do americans think of it?

dunno but i've heard it a couple of times think it's wicked. really catchy, i think they sound a bit like the offspring.

I suppose they're both from the same punkish genre but vocally they are COMPLETELY different. Just my opinion though

I think generally the song is about how american's can be quite stupid. But for the genre it's in, I don't think there are many patriots that would be totally disturbed by the song. I'm so excited for the album release could piss in my pants.

Yeah thats definitely what its about, and how the country is being misled. I agree with you that cos its not completely mainstream stuff, like say Britney, it wont be taken as much notice of as it deserves. Its a shame that this is the way it is.

Well I dont know where you are when you say ' Far away' but in the Uk the single is out on the 13th September and the album is out on the 20th Sept. Dunno about the single in the US but the album is out there on the 21st Sept.
