I am not a big fan of any of them, but I will say malmsatean for the heck of it.

Personally I think John Petrucci is the best guitarist.

out of the three...probably Vai..but i like Satriani more.
But for the best guitarist...Justin King. He owns sooo hard.

Joe Satriani is a god - he actually writes very good music. Vai is great as well.

Yngwie for the most part is pretty lame.

Vai has more technical talent but Satriani is more original, so I went with the latter.

I don't really care for any of their music personally... But Vai without question, Passion & Warfare is all the proof you need that this guy is the best... He's the most capable, skilled and versatile of the three... Satch tends to be a little sloppy, and his song composing skills are not even close to being as clever as Vais... As for Malmsteen, he's the best neo classical shredder on the planet, but thats pretty much all he's good for.
