You kids don't know squat when it comes to great drumming. Why does everyone think Joey from ****knot is the best? Because you people don't know that there is A LOT better music out there.

I have been drumming for about 6 years now, and I have really improved in my speed and rudiments in the last 4 months because of my inspirations that I will discuss soon. Last summer, just about everyday I drummed for about 2 hours trying to get my blast beats, and I got it after a month. It wasn't easy.

Here are the drummers I look up to, and to me, I think they are the greatest.

Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy)
Brad Roberts (GWAR)
Dennis The Mennace (Macabre)
Max Kolesne (Krisiun)
Igor Cavalera (Sepultura)

If havn't heard those bands, then you must listen to them if you want great drumming.

But really, I think the best drummers are Jazz drummers because they can start playing a smooth/mid-paced beat to playing short blast beats. There's just so many combinations they play, it's crazy!

John Bonham is a really great drummer but i wouldn't say he is the best
no doubt in my mind, but, Neil Peart is the greatest drummer to set foot on this planet. I love his technique and his ideas (and his drumset)
