although it may have been COMPARABLE lyrically to post syd barrett floyd albums, the composition and sound of work done without him was much better.

I'd say his solo stuff was interesting rather than good.
I think Barrett album is much better than The Madcap Laughs , probably because it's more organised & focused. Although I think most of that is due to Dave Gilmour being involved in the production which made it much more listenable than it's predecessor. |
