He's not the best as far as I'm concerned but he is very good. I think his strongest competition is Mark Knopfler

Indeed. I've been listening to Ataxia for about half a year now (probably longer), but it was quite a while before I managed to get their second album. It's pretty good but not as groundbreaking as their first. I really can't get enough of them.


Niandra Lades & Usually Just a T-Shirt is probably my fav Frusciante album... it's the real drugged up one.

One of the best guitarists and backup singers ever. He can make such creative sounds by simply improvising with flea.

"Throw Away Your Television" live at Slane is my favorite peice of work he's done so far.

But in all seriousness yeah i do think he is incredibly underrated and easily one of the best guitarists of today.

BTW i was there at Slane Castle 2003, i also bought the DVD.
