Well i have been looking around the forums, and i have been seeing all of these "Best Guitarist" Threads and i wanted to give the Bassists some credit too. So pretty much discuss on who you think are the greatest bassists of all time. My top 10 list. Roger Waters wrote some good music, but a great bassist? mmm. Dave Gilmour played a fair few bass lines on Floyd's albums.

I'm doing a rock/metal top ten since adding jazz/funk/virtuoso bassists will complicate it and this is the rock/metal section.
