I hope you correct him/her by mentioning how that idea is a load of rubbish, and that if it's true that metal is "dead", then it would have died a long time before Dimebag did. Suffice to say, it's as alive and well as any other genre.

If anything, metal has been rejuvenated since 2004. The net has really helped bring back the DIY underground metal scene.

the internet has also brought more people to listen to metal. but with dimebag on a few peoples minds they dont know whether they should listen to crap shoot music or should they listen to the music dimebag recommends for them. i personally stopped listening to what dimebag says only to the point to where i could listen to music that i wanna listen to.

What the hell does this post even mean? Did you talk to Darrel? Did he recommend music to you?

Coherence! COHERENCE!

i cant even believe they put Slipknot for 2001. I bet any other band would have been better suited there.

im really not surprised with these choices. because i started listening to korn when i was like 5 and i really seemed to like there sound. they've gone a little down hill since than though because im starting to find them really annoying...

also, chimaira, i've seen em live and im surprised they didnt get chosen in any earlier years. the rest is just crap.
