Buddy Holly is the best song off the album and dare I say one of the only good ones.

90's are still probably my favorite music decade - sebadoh, superchunk, archers of loaf, guided by voices, fugazi, poster children, ween, flaming lips, built to spill, liz phair, yo la tengo, unwound, slint (spiderland). Really the last time I really gave a **** about music.

But my favorite? I'll go with Sebadoh.

Rock / Metal Bands (and albums) that sum up the 90s (for me):

Sugar (especially Copper Blue / Beaster)
Radiohead (The Bends)
Beck (Mellow Gold)
Jane's Addiction (Ritual)
Deftones (Adrenaline)
Smashing Pumpkins (Gish / Siamese)
Pixies (Trompe)
Sepultura (Chaos AD)
Faith No More (Angel Dust)
Ministry (Psalm 69)
Metallica (Black Album)
Coal Chamber (S/T)
Shelter (Mantra)

Corgan.

He did what he could, with the resources allowed to him. Almost the entirety of Siamese Dream, with the exception of the drums, was recorded by Billy himself. It's a 90's staple.

Needless to say, the Pumpkins were the greatest group of the 90's. They continue to be the greatest group of the 00's.

That's going a little overboard, wouldn't you say? I mean, they were ONE of the great bands of the 90's, but I definitely wouldn't say that even remotely carried over into the 00's.
