I heard from one of my friends that Velvet Revolver broke up and Scott Weiland is back with the Stone Temple Pilots.
Please tell me this is true.

They are a confirmed band to play the Calgary, Alberta show of the Virgin Music Festival, so it must be pretty legit.

They have announced a pretty extensive tour schedule on their website this week

I read in the latest issue of Rolling Stone that Scott Weiland has officially quit Velvet Revolver.
Slash said it was long time coming and it wasn't for a STP reunion. |

I thought VR wasn't the best idea. Weiland was never my favorite vocalist, and if you're going to follow Axl, you should have a little skill.
Still STP are no slouch act. They put on a hell of a show and they know what people show up to hear. Core still is one of the more solid albums of the 90's and while their later material left more to be desired, they have a pretty decent catalog.
