I definitely agree. Burton was a bigger influence than they cared to admit. They have never been the same since. They lost their soul the day he died.

Five years ago I would have said Metallica... But since Jason left and the release of St. Anger I haven't given them a second thought.

Last year I saw Megadeth open for Heaven and Hell and they kicked some major ass. They are very good to their fans, I have never seen an opening band play an encore and Megadeth did that. What a show.

The impression I always got with him was he had quite a bit of influence in the band. I think things would have been very different had he still been around.
And they say bass players are useless.

I agree with SIKTHINDAHEAD and Alejo. My personal preference is that Hetfield has a better voice and is much better to look at.

The best criteria for a band is the vocalists look.....

Dave Mustaine is more talented than everyone in Metallica put together. Metallica would have been better if Dave stayed in the band.

I don't listen to much of either, but judging by the, well, sub-ten songs I've heard by each, I'd go with Megadeth. Symphony Of Destruction is one of the best metal songs ever.

Actually, no. They improved after he left.
