Default Introduction to Rock

Suppose that you met someone who had never heard any rock music. If they asked you for a mix CD to start them off with as an introduction to rock, what would you put on there. Obviously, put accessible music that will turn people on to the genre. This is something like what my list would go like, in no relative order of importance.
Introduction to Rock:
1.(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction-The Rolling Stones
2.Be My Baby-Phil Spector
3.Be-Bop-A-Lula-Gene Vincent
4.Blitzkrieg Bop-The Ramones
5.Blue Suede Shoes-Carl Perkins
6.Born to Run-Bruce Springsteen
7.Bye Bye Love-The Everly Brothers
8.Good Vibrations-The Beach Boys
9.Great Balls of Fire-Jerry Lee Lewis
10.I Want to Hold Your Hand-The Beatles
11.Johnny B. Goode-Chuck Berry
12.Light My Fire-The Doors
13.Like a Rolling Stone-Bob Dylan
14.Louie, Louie-The Kingsmen
15.Mr. Tambourine Man-The Byrds
16.My Generation-The Who
17.Peggy Sue-Buddy Holly
18.Proud Mary-Creedence Clearwater Revival
19.Purple Haze-Jimi Hendrix
20.Smells Like Teen Spirit-Nirvana
21.Stairway to Heaven-Led Zeppelin
22.Summertime Blues-Eddie Cochran
23.That's All Right-Elvis Presley
24.Tutti Frutti-Little Richard
25.When Doves Cry-Prince
26.Yesterday-The Beatles
27.You Really Got Me-The Kinks
28.Your Song-Elton John
Let's just say mine would be a double album! Feel free to add on or start your own lists!

1. Rock Around The Clock - Bill Haley and His Comets
2. Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry
3. That'll Be The Day - Buddy Holly
4. Jailhouse Rock - Elvis
(50's Rock 'n' Roll)
5. I Can't Explain - The Who
6. Day Tripper - The Beatles
7. Honkey Tonk Woman - The Rolling Stones
8. Communication Breakdown - Led Zeppelin
9. It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry - Bob Dylan
10. Susie Q - CCR
(60's Rock)
10. Rock 'n' Roll - Led Zeppelin
11. Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd

will add more later, brother kicking me off

I think the original post pretty much hits most of the big, definitive rock songs. Last year I made a "rock music in ten tracks" playlist that went like this:

Whole Lotta Shakin' (Jerry Lee Lewis)
Beautiful Delilah (Chuck Berry)
Subterranean Homesick Blues (Dylan)
Crosstown Traffic (Hendrix)
Tell Me Momma (Dylan)
The Kids Are Alright (The Who)
Pills (New York Dolls)
Oh Bondage, Up Yours! (X-Ray Spex)
Nookie (Sex Pistols)
Public Image (PIL)

...obviously stacked in favor of the harder, more confrontational tracks. I had CCR's Green River on, but I nixed it in favor of the NY Dolls track. If I had to redo it, I'd probably drop PIL in favor of a cut from Spiral Scratch and substitute Gimmie Shelter for one of the Dylan tracks, for the sake of variety.

Id tell them to just listen to Radiohead, because all other bands suck.

...not debatable

I completely misread the point of this thread.

Sorry about that.
