Their old stuff was good but ever since they joined up with Jay-z, everyones started hating them. There just too rappy now for my taste. Reanimation was too rappy as well.

^Not exactly. If anything, they're nu-metal, which really is a crappy genre. I wouldn't classify them as being remotely metal either way. Their singer has a rather horrid singing voice (although his scream isn't all that bad.) and their guitar work is less than impressive. A lot of metal is classified by its intricacy, and they don't seem to have a grasp of that going for them.

id have to say i like linkin park alot. they were one of the first mainstream bands to take that sort of aproach to rock music and i respect them for that,, hybrid theory was the best album by them and it still sells at walmart for the same price as it did when it came out

I like them fine myself. They do have a tendency to ruin some of their songs with mad screaming, though, which can be grating.

I like just a couple of their songs. I wouldn't own their albums though. As said, they're too unoriginal.
