Um , you do realise that when they formed the Beatles they`d already spent 3 years touring as The Quarrymen.I would imagine playing gigs for 3 years day in day out sometimes playing more than one show a day would make you pretty good at what you do.

Well that isn't what you said.
You said that when they started the beatles they just picked whatever instrument they liked.
You never said they did this as kids

AND to add to what Urban said, Ringo had already been touring with Rory Storm and The Hurricanes for quite a few years before the beatles

doesn't make them that great at playing there instruments is what i'm saying.. they just stuck to the same things over and over.. (I LOVE THE BEATELS by the way)
