they are without a doubt the most unique metal band in the world, if not the most unique band overall.

"Blind" is a transition record for COC. They advertised for and got a new singer who sounds like Hetfield, but they also brought in Pepper Keenan who sings in a more stoner-southern-retro-rock style, which is the direction they ended up. IMO,it's a great collection of songs, but it's not exactly cohesive.

'"Dark Saga", is a short and sweet melodic thrash album, or what some refer to US Power Metal. It's pretty straight forward, but Barlow is phenomenal on this records, and he knocks the final ballad out of the park. This album has a great arch, that keeps my interest all the way through.

Dark Saga - 1
Blind - 0

As I selected both these album, I pretty much love both of them. This is one of my favourite COC album but as Alamuro stated its not exactly cohesive at times, but there are some stellar knock-out tracks on the album such as "Dance of the Dead" and "Vote With a Bullet" I just wished they'd kept with Karl Agell on lead vocals, rather than just going with the more retro-blues stuff that Pepper Keenan led the band into on the next album (even though I also love most of the following albums as well)

The Dark Saga is a special album for me, those Metallica style riffs perfectly executed by both Jon Schaffer and Randall Shawfer are killer stuff, but its the vocals of Matt Barlow that provide the killer touch on this album. The whole album is so cohesive and stands as one the best albums they ever put out.

Dark Saga -2
Blind -0

I like CoC a lot but weirdly enough had never even heard of Blind before. It certainly does seem like a transitional album—and I prefer their later, more southern-rock influenced work—but I still enjoyed it a lot.

The Iced Earth album, on the other hand, didn't really click with me. Musically, it was okay but the guy's voice kind of ruined it for me.

Dark Saga: 2
Blind: 1

...but you don't like power metal, so I guessed you'd vote COC.
