Bone to pick with MB (metal, rock, cd, metallica)

So I went and picked up Mastadon today on the approval of every article in every publication I could find as well as everyone who responded to the post I made here.

I picked up the CD today. I think its garbage. Maybe I should give it a few more plays, but only Iron Tusk had some semblance of a riff, and the rest was just tuned down chords.

It wasn't bad, but to be touted as the second coming of metallica and rush combined, you'd better be that damn good. I feel it fell short.

Leviathan took a while to "click" for me, at first i thought "nothing special", but after a few listens i really liked it. "Hearts Alive" is my favorite track.

metallica and rush?... nah...

the cd is amazing. if you dont like it thats your own thing.

great March of the Fire Ants isn't on this disc, so im screwed, anyone got a favortie track on Leviathan.
