As in talent or as in sound good because they talk about generic things? First of all I can find so many bands that have lyrics that sound just like theirs, but they came first. Second of all romance lyrics aren't truly coming from the heart these days and I think this a good example. Third of all romantic lyrics are overused and I and many others get tired of them whining about some girlfriend they had in highschool.

well since Puddle of Mudd had a good song, 'Blurry', and pretty much everything Nickelback has put out in the last 5 years has been horrible, I'll go with Nickelback

Nickelback have a better sense of drama and the theatrical than Puddle Of Mudd. But Puddle Of Mudd have a better lead guitarist. Then again, Nickelback have a better drummer. And they're more creative, melodically speaking. But Puddle Of Mudd have denser, deeper instrumental arrangements. Though they also use more overused chord progressions.

Wouldn't it be swell if Puddle Of Mudd and Nickelback combined to form one superband? You'd then have one of the most dexterous radio rock combinations ever to come off a major label.
