Yeah... Rid of Me is pretty intense. As are most of the songs on that album.

Liz Phair - Exile In Guyville (The whole album is pretty intense and angry, its a real shame that she sucks now)
Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker (VERY intense all the way through)

While that is true...it is measured through aggression sometimes.

Anything by BTBAM is pretty intense.


On the other hand, Sheryl Crows self titled album was pretty dark, I would call some of those songs intense just because of their somber nature.

The songs "Storm" and "The Dead Flag Blues" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor are pretty intense (the climax at the 10 minute mark in Storm reduced me to tears the first time I heard it)

Also the ending of "Catamaran" by BearVsShark is pretty intense...Marc Paffi is intense
