These bands have good female vocalists- Bikini Kill/Le Tigre, F-Minus, Nausea, Antischism, Architecture in Helsinki, The Fiery Furnaces, Ladytron, Victory At Sea, Sahara Hotnights, Bratmobile, The Pixies/Breeders, The Avengers, Frou Frou, Sonic Youth, Deerhoof, Magneta Lane, Jack Off Jill, Mercury Rev, Hang on the box; there's more.

ahh, ok. I was gonna say how crazy it was that someone mentioned them. They were an all girl punk group from Berkley. They played here in phx and i actually passed them on the freeway. Their van was on the side of the road with a flat tire and they didnt have a jack. As i was driving by i noticed the bassist sitting on top of the van plucking away and I hit the first exit, traveled the opposite direction to the next exit, swung back around and gave them a hand. They ended up giving me a couple of their 7"s for helping them out and put me on the guestlist for their show. They were surprisingly good and really snotty, kinda like FYP.

the bird from rilo kiley- jenny lewis i think shes called. has the whole snarling, fervent vocals going on and the attitude to match.
